Cryo Technology

Cryogenic systems are widely used in the vacuum industry for their ability to achieve ultra-low temperatures and create high vacuum conditions. These systems consist of a compressor unit and a cryogenic refrigerator, which work together to generate a cold environment. Cryogenic pumps are also used for vacuum operations, offering high pumping speeds and low ultimate pressures. Cryogenic technology is popular in industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, scientific research, and space exploration

LEYBOLD CRYOGENIC SYSTEMS - Intelligent. Smart. Economical

With regard to the increasing requirements of the market, Leybold fulfils the expectations of customers with its new range of cryogenic systems combining performant components. The cryogenic systems offer a great range of economical products which can be easily combined to meet your application's requirements.

The Leybold cooling systems consist of: COOLPAK e: Compressor unit & COOLPOWER e: Cryogenic refrigerator

The cryogenic pump systems consist of: COOLPAK e: Compressor unit & COOLVAC e: Cryogenic pump

COOLPAK

COOLPAK e compressors are backward compatible and work with either the i-Series as well as with the newest e-series.

COOLPAK CP 5000 i

COOLPAK e compressors are available for single and multiple operation of cold heads from the COOLPOWER e line as well as cryo pumps from the COOLVAC e line.

CH-models: These variants are recommended for applications with 1 or 2 cold heads. CH-models cannot operate a COOL.DRIVE.

CP-models: These variants are well suited for applications with COOLVAC eSL pumps. Variants for the operation of one or two pumps are available. COOLVAC eBL pumps or COOLPOWER e products can also be operated with CP-models and in case even be controlled by the COOL.DRIVE. We strongly recommend buying the CP-model as it is more flexible.

The COOLPAK e series uses oil lubricated scroll technology with a frequency converter and variable motor speed to offer excellence in system performance, energy demand and work space environment.

The COOLPAK e helium compressors have a high energy saving potential. The power consumption changes during processing often allowing energy savings of up to 25%. Typical applications have a fluctuating cooling power demand. Today’s compressor units consume widely constant power nearly independent of power demand.

COOLPAK 5000 e LT - (low temperature)

Is the high volts variant of the COOLPAK 5000 i compressor family. It can operate and control up to two cryogenic pumps of type COOLVAC iSL or up to two COOLPOWER i cold heads by using an additional COOL.DRIVE i. It can also operate up to two COOLPOWER i cold heads or COOLVAC iBL pumps.

Features and Benefits

  • Innovation and intelligence: Oil lubricated scroll technology and a variable speed drive offer excellence in system performance, energy demand, and workspace environment.
  • Innovative scroll technology: Highly efficient hermetical scroll compressor; Motor speed control
  • Improved workspace: Very efficient oil retention system; Compact design-Small footprint; "Plug and play" system set up
  • Energy saving options & Cost of Ownership: Energy savings due to variable motor speed of compressor and cold head; Up to 25% power input saving by using the ECO mode
  • Easy to use: The "plug & play" system design supports the quickest installation and start-up without complicated programming; Easy serviceability (adsorber exchange); Maintenance interval of up to 22,000 h (30,000 h)
